NEW MEMBER REGISTRATION
INSTRUCTIONS:
All categories in bold on the application form must be filled in.
Select
"UNKNOWN"
for the division. You will be assigned a Division by
June 1st and can register for all tournaments after that date, providing
the conditions in the Tournament Registration section below have been met.
Use an email address
that you check frequently. Make sure your spam filters are set to allow
emails from:
JGAofBrowardCounty@BlueGolf.com
The junior golfer
and parents must read the 2010 JGA Handbook and membership waiver. Click on ACCEPT or DO NOT
ACCEPT. Acceptance is required for membership.
If you would like to make a financial
contribution to the JGA, select the amount, otherwise select "No Thank
You".
The membership fee
is $75 and must be paid with either a MasterCard or Visa Credit Card.
DEBIT cards are not accepted.
An acknowledgement
of your transaction will be sent to the email address submitted on the
membership application. The membership status is "Pending Approval" at
this point.
An email indicating
the application is approved will be sent once the credit card payment is
approved. You will receive a User ID and Password which is needed for all
future transactions.
RULES TEST:
The junior golfer must take, andPASS, the rules test
prior to registering to play in tournaments. All answers are in the 2010
JGA Handbook or in the
USGA Rules of Golf.
The test has 20 questions and you must correctly answer 17 to pass.
Parents may assist younger players with the test.
JGA ASSIST REQUIREMENT:
A parent or guardianmust
register to assist the JGA at least TWO times during the first seven
tournaments and one time during the JGA Championship if their child is
playing in one of the Championship rounds. Failure to register to
assist will prevent the junior golfer's tournament entry being accepted.
Failure to complete the assist requirement will prevent the junior
golfer from playing in the JGA Championship and becoming a member in 2011.
Go to
the JGA Home Page (www.jga.org) and click on JGA Assist Registration to make your
tournament selections. This link will take you to a BlueGolf tournament
schedule page which looks like the Tournament Schedule and Entry page.
Select the tournament you would like to assist. Assist assignments are made on a first come, first
serve basis. A tournament selection may not be available once the number
of parents registered for a tournament reaches the anticipated need.
Please see Ms. Beverly Magee at the Opening Day tournament if you want to
volunteer for additional tournaments.
TOURNAMENT
REGISTRATION:
Do not register for tournaments until
you receive your division assignment on June 1st, your parent or guardian has selected their tournament to assist, and you
have passed the rules test.
Click lick on
SCHEDULE
and then on
Register
for the tournament you want to enter.
Complete the form and submit payment using a MasterCard or
Visa Credit Card. DEBIT cards are not accepted.
Tournament fee is $15 per tournament and is non-refundable.
You will receive an acknowledgement by email of your entry.
You can verify which tournaments you have entered by clicking on SCHEDULE
and then Info
for the tournament. A players list is located on the top right.
Tournament Entries close at 9:00 PM on the Wednesday before the tournament
date except for the JGA Championship when entries close on July 14th.
TEE TIMES:
Tee times will be posted on the website on Saturday before the Monday tournament.
Click on SCHEDULE
then Info
for the tournament. The times will be in the upper left
of the Info
page under Pairings
for (course name).
Click on the Pairings link for the
course you are playing.
Your tee time will also be emailed to you. See Through the Green for the course each group will play.
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION:
Send an email to
jgacancelme@yahoo.com Include
your Last name, First name, Division, and tee time if you know the time.
RESULTS: Tournament results
are available by clicking on SCHEDULE and then
Leader Board for the
tournament.
Select the division you want to view from the drop-down box in the upper right.
PLAYERS CLUB:
Click on the
Players Club
link to sign up for the premium player stats program.
This optional program allows you to track your scores and information from tournaments
other than JGA events and keep more detail records which show the strengths and weaknesses of your game.
The Player's Club is $20 for a calendar year from the time you join.
